Bob Ritter holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Economics from Duke University. Across his more than 30 years of HR leadership in corporate and non-profit settings, he has built a legacy as an approachable and trusted partner who can effectively engage diverse audiences to diffuse conflict and create positive outcomes.
Prior to opening his ombuds practice, Bob led the centralized employee relations function for one of the world's largest and most highly-regarded investment management firms, where he also helped guide the launch of their first ombuds function. Known for his skill in navigating complex and sensitive workplace issues, he approaches situations objectively and empathetically, listening deeply, setting a respectful and collaborative tone, and ensuring that others feel engaged, valued and included. Bob's background also includes multiple years in talent development leadership, equipping him with deep knowledge and expertise in training and facilitation. Bob is a member of the International Ombuds Association (IOA), where he completed his organizational ombuds foundational training.
